Lucrosus Marketing Corporation was incorporated in 2004 and started primarily as a wholesaler of structural and non-structural steel products widely used in the construction industry.
Soon after the company started operation, it faced difficulties competing with other companies that sell substandard or undersized steel products. Refusing to engage in destructive business practice that could potentially harm both properties and life, Lucrosus Marketing Corporation started making plans to shift its main product lines from steel products to construction, hardware, industrial and painting tools.
In 2005, Lucrosus Marketing Corporation started to source for various hardware products from local importers with the objective of establishing a wide customer base in all regions of the Philippines that will culminate in the company importing its own products in 2010.
While there are thousands of products to choose from, Lucrosus Marketing Corporation decided to sell only branded products that are of good quality. Admittedly, some of the new brands and products promoted by the company did not sell well in the Philippine market. The few brands that the company were able to promote well became an inspiration for the company to persevere with the objective of introducing its own line of branded products in the future.
Having learned from experience the difficulties encountered by wholesalers and retailers from importers, and the difficulties of promoting new brand names, Lucrosus Marketing Corporation has learned valuable lessons that have since become the foundation of its principles.
From the start, the company’s motto was “we can never go wrong because we keep the needs of our customers and end-users in mind when doing our business planning and strategy.” It still is, and it will always be.
